The Turner Group is proud to celebrate recent recognition for two projects that reflect the power of design and engineering to strengthen communities: the Allenstown K-8 Community School and the Souhegan River Pedestrian Trail. Both projects have been honored with multiple awards, underscoring their innovation, sustainability, and positive community impact.
Allenstown K-8 Community School
The new Allenstown K-8 Community School has transformed education and community life by replacing two aging, inadequate buildings with one modern, accessible campus. Designed with state-of-the-art classrooms, wellness and mental health resources, and spaces for both learning and community gathering, the school embodies 21st-century education. Sustainable features such as a high-performance building envelope, rooftop solar, and energy-saving systems further strengthen its impact.
Souhegan River Pedestrian Trail
In Merrimack, the Souhegan River Pedestrian Trail has reconnected the town’s neighborhoods, schools, and business district. The project overcame complex historical and environmental challenges, integrating an elevated boardwalk, restored pathways, and interpretive signage that preserves local heritage. Designed to minimize environmental impact while enhancing recreation and wellness, the trail has quickly become a valued community asset.
Celebrating Community Impact
These awards highlight more than design and engineering excellence. They recognize projects that bring people together, enrich daily life, and create lasting value for the communities they serve. Turner Group is honored to partner with schools, municipalities, and construction teams across New Hampshire to deliver projects that truly make a difference.
