Following the installation of a new Bindler processing line, Lindt launched a major upgrade to their facility with the design and construction of a new chiller plant. This new system was intended to support both the mass product building and the main candy processing and packaging facility.

The existing chiller plant no longer met the demands of Lindt’s growing food production operations. The Turner Group provided full architectural and structural engineering services, along with code review, for the development of a new, larger chiller plant to replace the aging system.

To maintain uninterrupted production during construction, mobile chillers were brought in to temporarily support the facility until the new plant came online.

This large-scale project required a holistic design approach. New and expanded chiller piping systems were engineered to connect the new plant to larger rooftop mechanical units. Despite the complexity of the upgrade, Lindt’s operations continued seamlessly throughout the process.
