This 90-foot span steel girder bridge on integral abutments replaced a severely undersized and deteriorated CMP. Work included the replacement of a 12-inch water main supported between the girders. Approximately 1100 linear feet of the roadway was reconstructed including elevating the roadway 6.5 feet to mitigate overtopping. This reconstruction included a 300-foot sheet pile retaining wall to accommodate the elevated profile within 25 feet of the existing brook. Traffic control was an on-site single lane detour road and bridge that utilized temporary traffic signals.

TTG coordinated the temporary and permanent relocation of aerial utilities to maintain the amended construction schedule. TTG developed aerial relocation plans and scheduled numerous meetings with the aerial utility companies and project stakeholders during the construction process. Additionally, in response to utility delays, we coordinated the redesign of the superstructure to feature partial depth precast concrete deck panels versus full depth cast-in-place deck to maintain the amended schedule.
