The goal of this project is to replace the four classrooms currently housed in modular units and to add critical spaces that the existing school and surrounding community do not currently have. The Turner Group is working closely with both the school and the community to explore multiple design options that address these needs and support the development of a final schematic design for the building addition. The project includes architectural upgrades throughout the facility, improved insulation, new windows and doors, HVAC system upgrades, and a fully upgraded electrical system. Security upgrades are also part of the scope to enhance safety for students and staff.
The proposed addition includes:
- Gymnasium
- Stage and Green Room
- Locker Rooms
- Band and Music Rooms
- Science Classroom
- Art Classroom
- Health Classroom
The design introduces a new point of access to the building, allowing the gymnasium to be used independently during off-hours and weekends while the rest of the school remains secure. A new bus loop is also being added to improve traffic flow and safety. The plan accommodates optional space for a future SAU office, offering flexibility for administrative needs. This project reflects a comprehensive approach that combines the addition of new space with thoughtful upgrades to existing infrastructure.
