American Ref-Fuel, Inc. Solid Waste Transfer Facility – Lynn, MA

April 24, 2025

This project involved the transformation of an existing 340-ton-per-day solid waste transfer station into a modern facility capable of processing 750 tons per day, all while maintaining ongoing operations. The upgrade included a significantly expanded tipping floor, new high-capacity baling and storage systems, improved truck scale infrastructure, and advanced odor, dust, and bird mitigation systems. Site-wide improvements also featured a new stormwater drainage system with an oil/water separator, upgraded electrical systems for continuous operation, and enhanced fire protection and loading capabilities within the redesigned Transfer Building.
