The primary responsibility of this position will be HVAC engineering, plumbing, and fire protection systems for industrial, commercial, institutional and cleanroom building projects throughout New England. Desirable additional technical skills include energy analysis, displacement ventilation, commissioning, building science, high performance design, and low energy projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivery of mechanical projects from conception through final design.
• Follows and manages project budget, work plan, consultants, and schedule.
• Communicating with Project Team and Clients.
• Creates design solutions to meet all necessary design requirements and specifications.
• Creates and proposes scope and fee.
• Maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the Project Team.
• Facilitate communication through meetings, minutes, and up-date memos to Project Team.
• Ensure projects are following the office standards.
• Coordinates work efforts while ensuring that the team remains on schedule and budget.
• Construction administration to include processing of submittals, RFI’s, and other project documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 8 years of designing and troubleshooting HVAC systems and leading design projects.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer registration or ability to become registered within the next 12 months.
• Experience in AutoCAD and Revit.
• A thorough understanding of drawings, details, and specifications.
• Technical experience in document coordination and implementation.
• Management experience integrating engineering and owner consultant teams.
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Attentive to detail and accuracy.
• A commitment to inclusive design processes and outcomes.
