Harold Martin School Renovation & Addition – Hopkinton, NH

In 2021, Turner Group completed renovations for three schools in the Hopkinton School District within a $9.7 million budget. Maple Street School and Hopkinton Middle/High School received needed interior and systems upgrades, while Harold Martin Elementary School underwent renovations along with a significant addition. Approximately half of the total budget was dedicated to the addition and renovation work at Harold Martin.

The new multi-level addition included a secure main entrance, front office, special education spaces, classrooms, a health suite, and a direct connection to the lower-level gymnasium. The Turner Group provided facility assessment, space and program planning, site design, fire design, code compliance review, and bidding assistance throughout the project. Alternate structural and fire protection designs were developed to maximize budget efficiency, including a second-floor team space and a fire pump-based sprinkler system. The project was completed under budget, with over $400,000 returned to the district. All original design goals and selected alternates were achieved, providing the town of Hopkinton with updated, functional, and future-ready educational facilities.
