A New Chapter Begins at The Nick: Indoor Recreation Facility Breaks Ground in Wolfeboro

Turner Group is proud to be part of a transformative project for the Wolfeboro community. On May 29, supporters gathered at The Nick to celebrate the groundbreaking of a long-envisioned indoor recreation facility, an exciting step forward for a space that has served the region for more than two decades.

The new 35,000 square foot facility will bring something entirely new to The Nick: year-round access to indoor space for sports, events, and community gatherings. Known for its vibrant outdoor programming, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, track, and even the local farmer’s market, The Nick has long been a hub for activity, connection, and community pride. This next chapter expands on that legacy, creating opportunities for all ages, regardless of the season.

The Turner Group is honored to serve as the design team behind this project, working closely with Milestone Construction, LLC, who will lead the construction efforts.

What sets this project apart is its foundation: built entirely through community support and donations. The groundbreaking celebration was filled with local families, donors, and supporters who have contributed not just funds, but passion and belief in The Nick’s mission. It was a powerful reflection of the community’s commitment to providing inclusive, welcoming spaces for all.
